RSS stands for RADICAL SITE SELECTOR

Yes it has taken me most of the week to suss it out and yes it does feel a little like letting in a tidal wave of information but.....yes I get it that the information isnt actually clogging up my google reader and I can take it or leave it. So this morning I went to the google reader (on my book mark so easy to find! thanks Tami) and looked at the weather channel which I downloaded and hey presto! it was rather good and very informative and very selective....
I have also got a feed connected to any news about Ecuador. I am going to Ecuador with a small group from Paideia in June on a service learning project with Care and its good to keep up to date. I think this will be a very good RSS feed for me to check on a regular basis. You see I have to have a reason for doing all this.
Wistfully....I wish someone would read this!!

  1. Glad you are finding RSS useful! It takes a little time to fine tune it, but it can be quite the timesaver if you visit a lot of websites on a regular basis.

  2. Congratulations! You're up and running with a blog! I like how personal it feels and your photos. Thanks for your comments about my blog -- it is a weird experience to be posting things and wondering if anyone reads them. I will now be reading yours. I read somewhere that the average blog has 9 readers. That actually means that some 98% of blogs have one reader, i.e. the blogger herself. But keep at it and you will develop a following!

  3. I'm reading your blog, too, Olivia! I've found that RSS is a magnificent tool if you take the time to tweak it so that you don't get overwhelmed. I don't visit mine every day, but it is a great place to visit when I have some downtime and want to get caught up on my blog reading. I'd rather keep my favorite blogs there, and save my bookmarks for sites I visit all the time.
